I verified my student status a few months ago and I am told to reverify it  Why is it so?

As you’ve seen, all Education accounts verified before August 27, 2025 need to re-verify their education status. This ensures eligible students and educators continue to have access to EDU plan features. It’s possible the documentation you provided prior to this change may no longer be eligible. Unfortunately, I’m not able to tell, as the verification process is owned and managed by SheerID.

If your application was denied, you can submit an appeal directly with SheerID by providing additional documentation. SheerID will review your appeal and let you know if your status can be approved. Figma cannot review documents or confirm individual user eligibility.

If SheerID determines you are ineligible for the Figma for Education program, you can still use Figma and retain your existing work. You have the option to downgrade to the free 'Starter' plan or upgrade to a Professional plan. Please refer to our guides for more information, and submit a ticket directly with our team if you need help upgrading to a Professional plan.
