I’ve accepted the team invitation a few months ago but something was wrong as i have to request access to every file i wanna see.

I asked my boss who said i should have full access and showed me the admin panel where i was listed as having a seat on the team.

I have double checked the email, its my company email so i should have access for sure. 

When i look at my home dashboard theres nothing that tells me I’m part of my team, it says my account is free version. Even though i accepted the seat months ago. 

Any help?

 

Note:

  • I’ve verified my email
  • Added 2 factor auth
  • Tried on both web and desktop app
  • Can still get access if someone shares a file/project with me directly

This definitely sounds odd. Since your Team’s seat access seems correct from what you’ve described, can you please confirm that you’ve selected the correct Team from the Home file browser?


If you have an existing Starter team selected, you would see that “Free” team indicated. Hope this helps!

But I’m definitely in the team, I used one email for sign up.


it still just says im a free account with no team, anything you can do?

Did the team ever surface for you?

Sometimes after accepting an invitation, you need to completely refresh your tabs and/or your account before you can see the recent account changes. 
Please let me know, if you’re still having issues accessing the team.

It looks like you reached out to support directly with this and are working with Chris.

In summary, it was discovered that you have access to some files on the team, but you do not have any team permissions.
 
To remediate to this, the team owner or admins will need to invite you officially to the team. if your manager or team lead clicks on the "..." menu (located on the far right), they should see an option to "Invite to team". From there, they can send you an invitation with "Can edit" permissions.
 
Once you've been added with those permissions, it should resolve the issue you're currently experiencing.
