Question

I lost my 2FA code

Ademir Ogliari

Hello,

I recently transitioned from an Android device (POCO F5) to an iOS device (iPhone 17 Pro Max). Unfortunately, I encountered an issue with the Microsoft Authenticator app, which does not support backup transfers between Android and iOS. As a result, I lost my 2FA setup. The backups are stored in different locations—Microsoft account for Android and iCloud for iOS. I had traded in my old phone, assuming that the recovery process would be straightforward since the backups were cloud-based.

Could you please disable the 2FA on my business account?

Hi @Ademir Ogliari, thanks for reaching out!

Support replied to you last month, but our reply to ticket #1688394 bounced, and we never received a reply from you on ticket #1648300.
To verify your account ownership and process a 2FA removal, we need you to provide specific information to verify your identity.

Can you please check your email inbox again and possibly your spam/junk folder just in case it landed there by mistake?

Hello,

I didn't receive the emails with the return of the tickets, is there any other way to contact me?

I tested the password reset flow and the email with the reset link arrived.

Can I contact you through my personal email instead of my work email?

Hi @Ademir Ogliari, thanks for looping me back in!

Yes, you can try using your personal email to see if that reaches the support team successfully. I would be sure to also CC your work email when writing to support@figma.com and reference your previous tickets: #1688394 and #1648300. This way, the team will see that you’ve been attempting reach out and loop in your correct email associated with the account.

That said, to verify your account ownership and process a 2FA removal, the team has asked for you to please provide the following information to the best of your ability:

  • Current email address on your account
  • Change you are requesting (e.g., email change or 2FA removal)
  • Estimated date of account creation (month/year)
  • Approximate number of named .fig files owned or created by the account
  • Names or URLs of 3–5 .fig files you created
  • Names of teams you belong to
  • Names of other collaborators on your teams or files, and the associated file or team
  • If you are a team owner: last 4 digits and expiry date of any payment method attached to teams you own or administer
  • If you are part of a team or work on team files: an email from the team owner or admin (sent to support@figma.com) confirming they see no risk in the requested change

You can send this over via email to support@figma.com, and the team will hopefully be able to assist you by communicating to your personal email address. Please let me know if you continue having trouble connecting with the team, and I’ll do my best to get you connected.
