Whether your work can be recovered depends on how and when it was lost. Let's walk through the two best paths forward.

Missing content inside a file:

If pages, frames, or components disappeared from an existing file, use version history:

  • Open the file, click the file name in the top toolbar, and choose Show version history

  • Browse the timeline and click a version to preview it

  • Restore the version (or duplicate it to keep both)

Good to know: On the Starter plan, version history is viewable for the last 30 days only. You will also need can edit access to restore. Full guide: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038006754-View-a-file-s-version-history

A deleted file:

If a whole file is missing, check your Trash:

  • Click Trash in the file browser sidebar

  • Set the filters to Created by anyone and all files—this catches items hidden by default views

  • Right-click the file and select Restore

Good to know: The Restore option won't appear if you had can view access only, or if the file's parent project was deleted. Full guide: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360047512294-Delete-and-restore-files

If a file was permanently deleted from Trash, it cannot be restored—this is true for every plan. If you try both paths and still can't find your work, reply here with exactly what was lost (the whole file vs. internal content), how it disappeared, and roughly when. Talk soon — Jaycee
