I canceled my subscription but am still being charged.

HiPlay

I canceled the auto-renewal after my initial subscription, but I was still charged in the second month. What’s going on?

Also, after being charged, my account didn’t receive any plan upgrade and is still on the free version.

I’m currently unable to see any orders or anything related to canceling the subscription in my account.

I need to cancel the subscription and request a refund. Please help me process this as soon as possible. Thank you.

Hi @HiPlay,

I understand your concern about being charged even after canceling your subscription.

After checking on our end, here’s what we found:

  • You currently only have free Starter teams.

  • One of your teams previously had a monthly Professional plan that was canceled during the last billing term.

  • The plan originally included one Full seat, and an additional Full seat was added before the end of that billing period.

To clarify, once you cancel a Professional plan, your team will be downgraded to a free Starter team at the end of the current billing period. Until the billing period ends, you’ll continue to have access to all Professional plan features. Any seats added before the downgrade will be prorated and reflected on the final invoice.

In your case, while the previous billing period included a charge for one Full seat, the additional Full seat usage hadn’t been billed yet, which resulted in the prorated charge on your final invoice.

A quick note on seat types: A Full seat is required to create or edit Figma Design files.

You may find the following articles helpful:

Please note that payments for Figma subscriptions are non-refundable, as outlined in our refund policy

Invoice details are only accessible on a paid plans, so we recommend downloading invoices before the end of the billing period. If you need copies of past invoices, please let us know and I can connect you with our support team.

Thanks for reaching out and giving us the opportunity to clarify this charge.

Hi @HiPlay,

Thanks for following up! You currently only have free Starter teams, and we don’t see any upcoming invoices at this time.

Just so you know, you can re-subscribe at any time if you’d like to try the Professional plan again in the future. This guide walks you through the steps: Upgrade to a paid plan

Thanks,
