Hi
I understand your concern that the sharing modal is no longer showing the email addresses of people requesting access.
I tested this on my side and was able to see the requester’s email address in the share modal, as described in this article: Approve or deny a request
I also tried pulling up the same modal you shared in your screenshot, but I wasn’t able to get it to appear.
To help us better understand what you’re seeing, could you walk us through the exact steps you take when this modal appears?
For example:
In addition, could you confirm whether you’re able to see the requester’s email address in the file browser notifications?
In the meantime, I’ll check with our internal team. Once I learn anything, I’ll share an update here.
Thanks!
Hi
I checked with our team and confirmed that this is currently working as intended.
That being said, I’ve passed your feedback along for their review. I can’t guarantee any immediate changes, but the team does recognize that having access to the requester’s email address can be an important part of certain workflows.
In the meantime, if you’d like details about the requesters on a specific file you own, please send me the file URL(s) via DM. I’ll make sure to connect you with our Support team to assist further.
Thanks,
Hi - I am also having this issue. I am using Figma in the browser. Previously, requests used to show the full email addres, but no it only shows the persons name. This is a client file, so I need to validate the email domain in order to decide whether or not to grant access. It only seems to have changed recently and is delaying us providing client access.
The file is set to ‘only those invited’
The screenshot below (from your ‘how to’ guide) looks different since the update.
Since the update it looks like this (below) and only shows the requester’s name.
