I am the owner of the file. The file was originally stored in the team's project. It seems that it was moved to a personal project by a former employee (not sure), but the employee is no longer in the company. Although the file can still be opened and edited, it cannot be located and cannot be moved.

We have tried all the accounts in the attached picture. We want to return the file to the correct location, but we cannot move it.

Hi @RRR ,

I understand you're having a situation where your file, which you own and can still open and edit, seems to be in a former employee's personal project and can't be moved.

This sounds like the file might have ended up in the removed user's drafts folder. When a user is removed from a plan, any drafts they created in the team or organization are collected into a new project folder accessible by an Admin.

If you're on an Organization plan, your Organization admin should be able to move files from this drafts project to a different project. I'd recommend reaching out to your Organization admin for assistance with this.
Here are some helpful documents for more details:

Thanks,

Hi, @Junko3 ,

Thanks for your answering.

I've already tried the method you mentioned above, but I still can't find the file.
The attached image in the question says the file is located in "another user's project," but I'm not sure what that means.
Also, I'm wondering, since I'm assuming the file was moved by a former employee, what if that wasn't the case? Where else could the file be?

Hi there,

Thanks for the follow-up!

Just to clarify — have you already reached out to your Organization Admin to check the Unassigned drafts section under the Admin panel, as outlined in the guide I shared earlier?

As mentioned in the guide, if you're on the Organization plan, only Organization Admins have access to manage drafts from removed users.

If your Organization Admin has already checked the Unassigned drafts and the file still can’t be located, I recommend submitting a support request so our team can take a closer look. You can reach out via this secure form: 👉 Submit a request

Please make sure to include the file URL in the form — this will help our team investigate more effectively.

Thanks again!
