Hello Support Team,

I have been using the Figma Make AI feature regularly, and it works really well for my design work. However, the monthly free AI credits are limited and run out quickly.

Could you please tell me how to purchase additional Make AI credits separately? Also, is there any more cost-effective way or discount package to buy extra credits? Please guide me on the specific purchasing steps and preferential options.

My contact info:

Name: zed

Email: [redacted]

Thank you very much for your help!

Hey, @zed19920305 Happy to help clarify how those credits work.

There aren't separate Make credits — Figma AI credits are shared across all our AI features. This means anything you purchase applies to Make and every other AI tool in the kit.

Only admins can buy additional credits, and your plan needs to be a paid one (Professional, Organization, or Enterprise).

For additional credits, you have two main options:

  • Ongoing subscription: This is a monthly credit tier pooled at the plan level

  • Pay-as-you-go: This is $0.03/credit, and you're only billed for what you use beyond your seat and subscription (up to a monthly cap). This is available on Organization and Enterprise plans today and is coming to the Professional plan later this month.

If you're using a free plan, the simplest path is upgrading to a Professional plan which gets you 3,000 credits per month to work with. Have fun building! — Jaycee

Dear Jaycee,

Thank you so much for your detailed explanation, it really helped clarify how the credits work!

I do have one follow-up question, though. My roommate has the Education Professional plan, which comes with 3000 credits per month, and she found this feature really helpful. However, her account was suddenly disabled last week and she can no longer log in, so she’s lost access to all her design source files. This situation has left me quite confused and worried.

I was wondering: if I upgrade to a paid plan myself, could this happen to my account too? And is this a known issue that users might continue to face?

Thank you again for your help, and I’d really appreciate it if you could share any insights on this.

Best regards,zed19920305
