It looks like your team was downgraded to the Starter plan after your Professional plan subscription was cancelled. When this happens, Starter plan limits apply automatically.
On the Starter plan, editing is restricted if your team exceeds the allowed number of files or projects. Specifically, Starter teams are limited to:
If your team has more files or more than one project when the downgrade occurs, Figma will lock the team and set files to view-only until you’re back within those limits. So , once you get your team down to three or fewer files, this will automatically unlock your Starter team and you'll be able to continue using Figma with the free plan features. (read more)
To continue editing on the free Starter plan, please also:
Move files back to your Drafts - You can move files from your team back to your personal drafts (where you’ll be able to edit them on the Starter plan)
Duplicate the files to your Drafts
Delete files you no longer need
Reorganize or remove extra projects so your team only has one project. Learn more about moving projects.
Once your team is back within the Starter plan limits, editing will automatically be unlocked. This behavior is expected and reflects how access works after a downgrade, rather than an attempt to force a resubscription.
