Hi,

I am currently looking for a figjam board I created last year which for some reason is not showing at all in my figma now. In fact the whole project, which was all of my semester notes for that semester in all of my modules, is now somehow missing. Can somebody please perhaps help me in finding and recovering this project and files? It’s really important for an upcoming exam that I can find them.

Thanks!

Ok, this board is from the same semester so I believe the problem now stems from unassigned drafts. Still, searching for the other modules board by title yields no results? Could somebody please help me here?

Hi @Padshan,

I understand that you’re having trouble locating your FigJam file.

If you believe the file you’re looking for might be one of the unassigned drafts shown in your screenshots, it could be located in a project folder under Admin within the same team.

Team admins can access and manage these unassigned drafts, so please reach out to your team admin to help recover the file.

If you’d like to check which team the file belongs to, you can do so by opening the file, then clicking the file location name under the file title in the left sidebar.

Just so you know, when a user is removed from a team, any drafts they created are collected into a new project folder under Admin.
For example, if a team was upgraded from the Starter plan to the Professional (Education) plan, drafts from previously removed users will appear in Admin. This can also happen if you were removed from a team and later re-added.

For more details, please refer to this article: Manage drafts of removed users

It looks like you currently have access to several teams, including Student and Starter teams.
I recommend double-checking all of them — each team has its own Projects, Trash, and Drafts, so please review those sections as well to see if your file appears there.

If you’re still unable to locate your file after trying these steps, please share the file URL here so we can connect you with our Support team if needed.

You might be able to retrieve the file URL from:

  • Your web browser’s history

  • Any previous conversations where you shared the link

  • The File > Recently Closed menu if you’re using the desktop app

Thanks,
