Question

Github not working for only one of my figma make projects

I have several Make projects and all work with Github except one. I have checked to see if there’s a “phantom” project floating of the same name, I’ve created a repository on GitHub and tried to connect to it, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin, I've revoked and re-granted access to figma in GitHub, nothing seems to allow this one project to make and/or push to an existing repository.

Hey Joe, thanks for the detailed troubleshooting you have done!

Since this is isolated to one specific project while others with the same GitHub account work fine, this looks like it could be tied to that project's session rather than the GitHub connection itself. One thing worth trying that you haven't mentioned: fully reload the tab for that specific Figma Make project (or close and reopen it) right before attempting the push again, to make sure you're starting from a fresh session.

If the issue persists, please submit a bug report through the Support Hub:
 Support Hub / Type “Report a bug” / Click Start a chat / select Enter and follow the prompts. In the form, include the URL of the file and grant "Can View" access with support-share@figma.com, this allows us to reproduce the issue and investigate. Thanks again for the thorough report!

Still failing. Steps I've tried: 
Hard refresh for this project
Copying / duplicating and renaming the project and attempting to create a repository in both the original and copy
disconnecting figma and GitHub (again) and reconnecting

I can commit a completely new project, and my older projects, but not this one project. It’s a head scratcher!

also, FYI, your “start a chat” feature doesn’t work in safari, tried on multiple machines.
