Frustating and facing loss - My Figma was disappeared suddenly and it was showing Moved or deleted
One of our Figma Design files is suddenly showing as deleted / not found when we open it. Nobody on the team deleted, moved, or archived it, and it was working fine previously
Setup
- File type: Figma Design (team project file, not a draft)
- Error shown: “The File may have been deleted, moved or made unavailable. Try reaching out the file owner”
- Affects: everyone on the team, including the file owner and admin
Already checked
- Team Trash and every project’s Trash — not there
- File owner’s Drafts and Drafts → Trash — not there
- Admin → Resources → Files — file not listed
- Figma home search — file doesn’t appear / appears as deleted with no Restore option
- Nobody was removed from the team and the plan hasn’t changed recently
Questions
- Has anyone seen a file disappear like this without going through Trash? What caused it?
- Is there any other place a file can end up that I haven’t checked?
- Has Figma Support been able to restore files in this situation, and roughly how long did it take?
We have created Tickets, but there was no response, We are running out of the deadlines and facing losses. Can you sort this out immediately. We are on Crucial Situation. Help to recover this ASAP
