• Is this happening in the browser too?
• Are you experiencing this in the new UI too? 
• Have you tried to clarify your cache? Please follow these steps for the desktop app: Clear Desktop Cache. 
• Make sure both your OS and Figma app are up to date, this can sometimes fix performance issues.
• Try reinstalling the app, this can also refresh your setup and ensure you’re on the latest version.
