Figma won't load with SimilarWeb extension installed

If i have the SimilarWeb extension Figma, Figjam etc won’t load.  They hang on the splash screen and ultimately Chrome asks to wait/kill the tab.  If i disable the extension it loads fine.  I’ve reported to them but would be great to get this fixed since it has over 1M MAU.

    Hi ​@Anandx - thank you for inquiring!

    Since this involves a 3rd party extension, there are no recommendations I can make from a Figma standpoint at this time. We don’t have visibility into how browser-related external plugins or extensions are implemented, and their effects on how Figma performs with them.

    My first suggestion would have to been to contact the developers from SimilarWeb directly to see if they can help you troubleshoot or make updates, and it sounds like you’ve done this. This is a good start -- I would wait to see if they can provide further guidance, and continue to work with them.

    Thank you for bringing the issue regarding the Similarweb browser extension preventing Figma from loading to our attention. We know how frustrating this disruption must have been to your workflow, and we apologize for the inconvenience this caused.

    I am stepping in to update you that our engineering team investigated the conflict and we have immediately released a bug fix. The issue has now been fully addressed.

    The Similarweb extension should update automatically. By now, you should be able to load Figma smoothly without needing to disable the Similarweb extension.
