Figma Slide Memory Problem

The slide deck continually says to open in recovery mode, but each time it tries it just says the same thing. I’ve tried it in the app and on several different computers. When I tried to paste the link in here it crashed this page too.

File is figma.com/ slides/UwFWTA1MbRsFAtwZ4otMVa/BROKEN?t=qqw6HfVVYpTBfz9n-0 (without the space)

Is there any way to open it or recover it?

Strangely this is a copy of a slide deck with more slides that I can still open so it seems like something on the available slides here is breaking Figma.

Hey @Ava321 - sorry for the trouble. Just to make sure I understand:

  • The file that’s hitting memory issues is a duplicate copy of another slides file you have
    • The original copy has more slides in it, but still seems to open and work.

If that’s correct: are there any ‘heavy’ edits you made on the duplicate copy of the file? It sounds like you may have removed some slides, and added new ones. I’m wondering if some of the edits you made has caused this (which could also indicate that there is a specific slide/or slides that are causing this).

Can you try something for me? I’m going to get a little spiderman meme-ing, but can you duplicate the duplicate file that's broken, and see if that copy opens up normally? Want to see if this is isolated to the startiing duplicate file itself.

HOWEVER, please correct me if my assumption was incorrect. I may need to refer you to our technical quality team.
