figma sites , hover effect - duration not working.

Is the hover animation instant for you as well?

Hi, ​@Wentils Lentils - thanks for your reply. Are you seeing this specifically in Figma Sites, or are you seeing this with prototypes in Figma Design? I just tested a hover effect in Figma Sites and it worked as expected. For my test, I added an interaction to a hero section, which changed the opacity to 30% over a duration 1000ms. How did you set your interaction up?

Hey ​@adamsmasher, thanks for the reply. This is specific to Figma Sites.

Using the overlay method with varying opacity works as expected on something like an image, but my context is a button, where both background color and text color are meant to change on hover.

This same component setup utilizing dissolve works fine in FIgma Design, but not in Figma Sites. Switching the animation to Smart Animate gets halfway there, where the background fades in and out on hover, but the text color change remains instant. Let me know if that makes sense and if you have more questions.

Ok, I see what you mean, ​@Wentils Lentils. I replicated by doing the following:

1. In Figma Design, I created a simple component with two states, and set up a hover interaction between the two where the background dissolves over 1000ms.
2. I copied the base component state, then pasted that into Figma Sites.
3. When I preview the prototype and hover over the component, the dissolve is instant.

I also saw this happen when publishing the Design file as a library, then inserting the component from the library rather than pasting. I’ll file a ticket with our engineering team regarding this - while I don’t know how quickly this might be resolved, that’ll get it in front our engineers so they are aware of the issue. Thanks ​@adamsmasher! In my case, I created the component within Figma Sites just to test if the issue was translating between Design and Sites. It’s helpful to know the issue still persists even if the component originates in Figma Design.

I ran into a separate issue publishing my website, and noticed this error if it helps at all. Is dissolve just not supported at this time?
