Figma Site background

Hi,

I'm trying out Figma sites. Looks very promising. It's nice to finally bring a design to life myself. It won't be long before it feels like you're saving a PDF from Indesign.


What I'm running into quite quickly is setting a background pattern on top of a solid color. I use a SVG as a component for this, but at that moment the preview goes black. In edit mode it looks fine.

Any suggestions?

Thanks so much for your patience while we looked into this.

 

I checked in with our Product and Technical Quality teams, and this is a known limitation they’re currently tracking. While I don’t have a timeline to share just yet for when support might be added, I can confirm that you’ll likely see a lint error in the left sidebar noting that this isn’t currently supported. In the case you brought up here — applying a background pattern on top of a solid color — that specific combination isn’t available at this time, but the content on the page should still render without any issues.
