Hey our team is having the issue when viewing our designs that the scroll position keeps jumping and resetting. This happens on almost every screen and the behaviour is inconsistent, meaning sometimes nothing happens and everything works well and sometimes its completely unusable. 

This is issue is causing a lot of frustration and problems for our team and design development process. We can’t reliably use Figma prototyping features for user testing since the users are met with buggy scroll behaviour no matter what device they are using. 

Making design testing and viewing frustrating and almost impossible is in my opinion completely unacceptable from what is supposed to be the industry standard design tool.


So far we have tried:

  • Detaching instances
  • Viewing in Figma (both the modal view and full page view), in browser and on phone browser
  • Changing from auto-layout to frames
  • Removing animated components

This does seem unusual. Are you experiencing the issue on the browser, desktop app, or both?

  • As a first step, please check your prototype interaction to ensure the states are set correctly. Try unchecking ‘Reset scroll position’ to see if that resolves the issue. (You can find more details in this guide: Preserve scroll position in prototypes.)

When submitting a report, please use your Figma email account, grant edit access to support-share@figma.com as an Editor, attach a video recording of the issue, and specify where the problem occurs (browser, desktop app, or both), along with your OS details. This will help our team replicate and diagnose the issue more effectively.

Have done all that, my computer definitely meets minimum requirements. Is there a possibility for this post to be sent to them so that I dont need to create an identical support ticket?
