Figma Prototype Glitch - Previously worked

Hello Figma team, I’ve got an interactive Figma prototype flow that is being used as a portfolio. In some of the work featured I have scrollable design layouts. These previously worked fine, with 2x layouts showing as large shaped panels instead - other layouts that follow the same setup are working fine, it’s just these two (see attached) that aren’t working.

I’ve done a full Figma reset and cleared the cache with no fix. Can you advise what this issue might be?

Please can you advise why this is happening to some scrollable content within a Figma prototype? It only effects two of the layouts with other behaving fine.

It was working perfectly fine yesterday and today I can’t find a fix. I’ve done full Figma and cache resets with no fix.

Apologies - duplicates have been done. I’d advise having a message or confirmation on successful submission of a topic.

Hey @JJC, thanks for reaching out!

It looks like the attachment didn't come through on your post, could you re-upload the screenshot? That'll help me see exactly what's happening with those two layouts.

To get a better sense of what's happening: could you tell me whether the two affected frames have scrollable content set up directly on the frame, or whether the scrollable content is nested inside an auto layout frame? The reason I ask is that auto layout frames resize to fit their contents, which means Figma needs the auto layout to be placed inside a regular frame in order for overflow scrolling to apply correctly.

It's also worth checking that the overflow behaviour is still set on those two frames. You can check this by:

  1. Selecting the affected frame in your file
  2. Opening the Prototype tab in the right sidebar
  3. Looking at the Scroll behavior section to confirm the overflow is set to Vertical (or whichever direction you need)

Our Help Center article on prototype scroll and overflow behavior walks through the full setup in detail and is worth a quick skim while you're in there.

If everything looks correct on the prototype settings side, share a bit more about how those two frames differ from the ones that are working, that'll help us pinpoint what's changed.

@Gayani_S Thank you but I’ve raised a support ticket for this.

There was no issue on the designs yesterday and it hasn’t impacted other layouts setup exactly the same so this looks more like a bug.
