Hi,

I downloaded Xcode 27 Beta on my macOS Tahoe 26.5, then went to plugins > add by url, pasted the below url then I get the error “figma” couldn't be imported because a plug-in with that name is already available. I never installed the plugin before ! is there any fix ?

Hey, @Ammar_S_Mitoori! Thanks for your post - excited to see you setting up Xcode with the Figma MCP, though it seems like you’re having a confusing experience.

Have you tried the on-click setup option in our Xcode and Figma: Set up the MCP server help article? It’s the first option in the article before they detail the manual setup instructions that you tried. I’m not sure why you’re getting that error message, so I’m wondering if this method will work better for you. If you’ve already used the one-click link then the plugin is already installed. This would explain the error message, and you can go to the final step of authorizing your Figma account to use the MCP server in Xcode (though this may already have happened as part of the one-click setup).

Hi,

Thanks for the replay. I tried the one click before and also got the error in screen below. There's no Figma in the plug-ins list so how can I authorize it ?. I installed Xcode 27 Beta on Tahoe 26.5.1 and I still have the Xcode 26 installed but its closed I only open the Xcode 27 Beta so I don't think that's the reason.

Kind Regards

Hmm… Can you check to see if Xcode already shows a Figma/figma entry under Settings > Intelligence > Plug-ins. If it does, the you’d need to sign in/authorize that existing entry or remove/re-add it in Xcode. If it doesn’t show, then I’m thinking this is some kind of cache issue with Xcode. I’m also checking internally for more information, @Ammar_S_Mitoori, but let me know what you find out!
