Figma Motion video export not working

When I click to export a motion, in any format, the new tab is open and never renders the video. I saw in other designers computers and theirs exports are showing the loading %, but on my app it doesn't even show any loading % on the blurred frame. And even being stucked there for a while, nothing happens, what makes unable to download the video.

Is this a common bug?

Hey @Vinícius Cercal, thanks for reaching out!

Sorry you're running into this, Figma Motion is still in open beta, and you're not the only one who's flagged an export getting stuck like this, so I'd like to dig into your specific case rather than assume it's the same thing everyone else is seeing.

A couple of things worth trying first:

  1. Close the browser tab that opened when you clicked Export, refresh your file, and try exporting again.
  2. If you have access to both the Figma desktop app and a browser, try the export in whichever one you haven't used yet, just to see if it behaves differently.
  3. Try exporting a different animated frame, if you have one, to see if it's specific to this file or happening across the board.

If none of that changes things, I can open a support ticket for you. Once it's ready, you'll be able to share your file link with our team directly there, along with a quick screen recording of the export attempt and your app version.

In the meantime, here's more on how this is meant to work: Export animations from Figma.

Let me know how it goes!
