Figma Motion is a great feature, and I know it's still in beta. However, please fix this issue the current time input box overlaps other UI elements, which affects usability.

Hey @Sayful_Islam_Shakib1 and @Reski_Nuari, good news to share!

We tracked down the cause of the overlapping current time input box in the Figma Motion timeline, and a fix has now gone out.

Turns out the overlap was tied to how the timeline panel renders on Windows specifically, not a language or regional settings issue after all. That said, the details you both shared were genuinely what helped narrow it down, so thank you for sticking with it.

To make sure you're on the latest version:

  1. Fully quit and reopen the Figma desktop app (or refresh your browser tab in a new window)
  2. Open Figma Motion again and check the timeline panel

You can find more on how it all works in our Use the Figma Motion timeline guide.

Let me know how it looks on your end, if you're still seeing any overlap, just reply here and I'll dig back in. Appreciate you both sticking with this one!

Hey @Sayful_Islam_Shakib1, thanks for reaching out! I'll reply in English since that's what I can offer support in for now, but please feel free to add more details in Spanish if that's easier, and I'll do my best to work through it with you.

From what I can tell, you're not able to type in any of the tools/functions in Figma. To help narrow this down, could you share a bit more:

  1. Are you using Figma in a browser (which browser- Chrome, Safari, Firefox?) or the desktop app?
  2. Does this happen in every file, or just one specific file?
  3. Are you trying to type with the Text tool, in a comment, or somewhere else (like a form field)?

In the meantime, here are a few general steps that might helo resolving typing/input issues:

  1. Browser: fully quit and reopen Figma in a new browser window (not just refresh the tab).
  2. Desktop app: force-quit the Figma Desktop app and relaunch it.
  3. Check that you're on the latest stable version of your browser.
  4. If you're on browser, check whether a browser extension might be interfering. Try opening Figma in an incognito/private window with extensions disabled.
  5. Confirm WebGL is enabled, since Figma needs it to run. You can check at webglreport.com.

You can find more detail in our Troubleshooting checklist.

Let me know what you find and we'll go from there!

I tried on the Figma App and Google Chrome the issue is still there. I attached a screenshot that was tested on the Google Chome.

Thanks for confirming that, and for sharing the screenshots. Since you're seeing this on both the desktop app and Chrome, that helps rule out a browser-specific cause.

I've flagged this internally with the team working on Figma Motion. I don't have a timeline to share just yet, but I'll get back to you here as soon as I hear more.

Appreciate your patience while we look into this!

Hey @Sayful_Islam_Shakib1, I've followed up with our team on this, and right now we haven't been able to reproduce it on our end, so I want to dig into a few specifics about your setup that might help narrow this down:

  1. What language is your Figma interface set to (English, Spanish, or something else)?
  2. What's your operating system, and what's your browser or system locale/region set to?
  3. Is your keyboard layout set to a language other than English?

These details will help me get a clearer picture of what's different about your setup so we can pin down what's causing the overlap.

Appreciate you sticking with me on this one, the more detail you can share, the faster we can get to the bottom of it!

I’m also experiencing the same problem, since the first Figma motion out. For the question you asked:
1. Language English
2. Windows 11 Pro, Country/Region Indonesia, Regional Format English (United States)
3. Keyboard Layout 104-key US QWERTY layout, 75% (if it’s necessary).

Hey @Reski_Nuari, thanks so much for jumping in with those details, that's really helpful.

I've passed this along to the team working on Figma Motion. It looks like there might be a pattern here around regional/locale settings rather than the interface language itself, so this is a useful data point. I'll keep digging into this and follow up here as soon as I have more to share.

Hey @Sayful_Islam_Shakib1 and @Reski_Nuari, thanks for hanging in there on this one.

I don't have a resolution or timeline to share yet, but wanted to keep you both posted. The team's still digging into the current time input overlap in Figma Motion's timeline panel, and the regional/locale details you've each shared are proving useful in narrowing down the pattern. I'll keep watching this thread and post here the moment there's news.

Appreciate you both sticking with us on this!
