The figma mirror feature is not working after the latest Figma releases. I deleted the app and downloaded it again, desktop Figma and mobile app are both up to date.
I am using iPhone 15pro (iOs 18.4.1) and a Macbook air with M1 chip (Ventura 13.1.5)
The mirroring only stopped when the new features were launched this week. Is anyone else having a similar issue and has found a way to resolve it?

edit: i figured it out. Figma was automatically in the new “drawing” mode, hence nothing was mirrored.

edit: all sorted!! Figma automatically was set on the “drawing” mode and none of the design shizzle was accessible and also the mirroring was not accessible.

Thanks for updating your post, however I’m still having issue with figma mirror and it not responding to edits or frame selection. I have tried on iPhone (iOS) and Samsung (Android) and both are unresponsive.

If I close the app and reload, select the frame. Then it renders to device, if I make an edit or select something else. It seems to crash with the “Select a frame or component that’s directly on the canvas.” screen.

Hi @Marcel K

I'm running iOS 25.15.0 and can confirm I'm able to mirror frames in the app while editing them simultaneously.

If you're still having trouble, could you try force-quitting and restarting the app? If that doesn't resolve the issue, you might want to try uninstalling and reinstalling the app completely.

Let me know if either of these solutions works for you! If not, please submit a bug report: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041468234-Submit-a-bug-report.

Thanks,

Toku

Hi @y_toku

Thanks for the assistance.

As of yesterday the mirror function seems to be working as it should again.

Thanks

M

@Marcel K Thanks for letting us know that it’s back to normal now!
