Figma Make remix error

I have a Make file which I’ve published as a template. The file itself has references to GitHub, Confluence, and a CDN. When creating a new Make file, selecting this template, and using the Remix button, it fails (mainly for other users) and throws up an error in the left-hand Make panel. Clicking Fix me doesn’t resolve the issue.

The workaround is to pick the template up from Resources and clicking Use template. This seems to work fine every time, but does mean you have to manually move the file from the Drafts folder to the desired location.

Is there a bug using the Remix route?

Please can you investigate?

Hey @JopS — welcome to Figma Forum, and thanks for flagging this. I really appreciate you sharing the additional context around the external references (GitHub, Confluence, and your CDN) — that’s helpful to know and could definitely be relevant here.

I’ve raised your post internally, and I’d like to narrow this down a bit further with you:

  1. First, is this still happening for you? I touched base with our engineering team, and we resolved an issue that did impact the workflow you described above around the time you created this post. When you have a moment, could you try refreshing your file and then retrying the Remix flow to see if that changes anything?
  2. If that doesn’t resolve it, can you provide a bit more detail on the steps leading up to what you’re seeing? When you click Fix, do you see any additional error message, notification, or other unexpected behavior? That will help me as I attempt to replicate this on my end.

Thanks again for taking the time to report this. If you’re able to share any additional details — screenshots or a short video of the behavior would be especially helpful — that will make it easier for me to loop in the right folks for a deeper look. I’ll keep an eye out for your reply.
