Figma Make Publishing Issue

Hi, it would be great if you guys can help me out on this. I've been trying to publish my website so I can see how it behaves, but I'm getting a distorted page every time I publish it. It doesn't look distorted in my Figma make file, so I'm not sure what is wrong. I depublish it, I republish it again, that didn't seem to be the issue. I logged out and logged back in, that didn't help either.

I reviewed the past files, and solutions have been asked in the forum, and tried to troubleshoot, but it doesn't seem like it's getting resolved.

Hi @mtdmr55

I understand that you’re running into an issue where your published site (or functional prototype) looks distorted when viewed at the published URL, even though it appears correct in the preview within your Figma Make file.

Since you’ve already tried republishing, let’s check a few additional things:

  • Are you seeing any error messages when you publish or update the published version?

  • Could you try duplicating the Figma Make file and publishing the duplicated file to see if the issue persists?

You may also find this guide helpful for additional troubleshooting steps: Troubleshoot in Figma Make

If the issue continues after trying the steps above, I’d recommend submitting a bug report via “Contact support” from the (?) icon in your Figma Make file. The chatbot will guide you through opening a report with our team so they can take a closer look and assist you directly.

You can also refer to this guide for what to include in your report: What to share in a bug report to Figma Support

Thanks,

Hey Junko3!
Thanks for your response. While I was submitting, I don't see any error messages or any warnings. I also tried duplicating after I read a couple of posts. I copied the file and I retry, and the same issue was happening. This seems like a bug because I'm also having issues with the GitHub. I submitted another post for that because I tried everything that could resolve the issue based on my search in the Figma form, but neither of them helped me out.

For your recommendation, I submitted this as a bug. Thanks so much for your support and help.

The same problem, I also tried to republish and do duplicates. Please give a comment if you manage to solve it!

My issue went away after I have upgraded the app and republish the website. I am still having issues with the Github tough but that’s another problem to tackle. After several issues, I am realizing Figma Make has a long way to go and not reliable yet to be fully trusted.

I've noticed a few people mentioning that 'distorted' look lately - must have been a bug in the previous build. For the GitHub issues, it might be worth opening a separate ticket with support if the usual 'disconnect and reconnect' trick doesn't work.
