Figma Make preview stuck loading for 3 days (spinner never resolves)

Hi team,

I’m unable to preview anything in Figma Make for the last 3 days. The preview panel just shows a loader spinning in the center and never resolves.

This makes it impossible for me to debug or iterate on the app I’m building.

What’s happening:

  • Preview panel keeps loading indefinitely

  • Spinner stays in the center

  • No errors are shown

  • The preview never renders

What I’ve tried so far:

  • Refreshing the file

  • Restarting the browser

  • Trying different browsers

  • Logging out and back in

  • Restarting my machine

None of these helped.

Questions:

  • Is this a known issue with Make previews?

  • Are there any logs or debugging tools I can use to identify the cause?

Happy to share the file if needed.

I understand the Figma Make preview panel is showing a spinner that never resolves and no errors are displayed.

If you’re still experiencing this issue, could you please try the following in the meantime (in addition to the steps you’ve already tried)?

  • Switch to fullscreen preview: Try switching to fullscreen preview to see if it loads there.
  • Duplicate the file: Create a copy of the file and see if the preview loads correctly in the duplicate.
  • Restore a previous version: In the duplicated file, try reverting to an earlier point in the version history.

If any of these troubleshooting steps reveal additional information, please include those details when you reply to the ticket so we can gather everything in one place.

Hello, I see the same issue. There is a loading icon that is appearing and won’t go away/I am unable to view the result. I’ve tried all the steps but nothing has seemed to work. 

Steps i’ve tried:

  • duplicating the file
  • refresh
  • opening in a browser window (instead of the app)
  • prompting that i’m only seeing a loading window and providing it with a screenshot
     

I’ve also confirmed that no errors are showing.

Hey ​@Annam, thanks for flagging this and taking the time to test things like duplicating the file and switching environments! 

I can help get this in front of our Technical Quality team, but before I do, I’d like to gather a bit more detail so we can share the right context with them.

To narrow this down a bit further:

  • Are you seeing this across all Make files, or just one specific file?
  • Have you tried reinstalling the Figma desktop app, and does that make any difference?
  • Which browser (and version) are you currently using?

Once I have this information, I’ll make sure this gets routed to the right team for a closer look.
