Hello guys,

I have a project on Figma Make that has over 280 versions and some different squads are using it daily. After 280 versions, it stopped responding my prompts.

I duplicated the file, rollbacked on version 187 and it worked again, like magic.

This screenshot shows my input and no answer from Figma Make:

Another user getting no answers at all, just some .gitkeep files:

Is there a version limit on Figma Make?

Thanks for your help.

Hi @gabshow, thanks for reaching out and providing these screenshots!

I completely understand how this must be slowing down your workflow. To answer your question directly, there isn’t a strict version limit in Figma Make. But once a file accumulates a very large number of versions, typically 500 or more, you may start to notice some performance degradation over time.

Since you’re already working with our technical quality team directly on ticket #1928321, they’re the most equipped to dig into the specifics of your file to find the most sustainable path forward. If you have any further questions or concerns, please reply to support directly via email.Â
