Building a web game, trying to add graphics e.g. “space-background.jpg”.

When I upload the JPG to Figma Make, it resaves it as a file just containing this code:

figma:asset/53d0d0f172d5f8e4c99f47eb4ebdbfd60ab79429.png

This then fails to load in the app test pages.

Hi @Calico ,

I understand you’re running into an issue when uploading your image to Figma Make.

I tested this on my side by attaching a local JPG image to a prompt. As you mentioned, I also saw the “figma:asset/…png” reference in the code tab, but the image still displayed correctly in both the preview and the published site according to the prompt.

In case it helps, here are some related guides:

Could you share a bit more detail on what you’re seeing?

  • A quick video or screenshots showing the full app, how you upload the image, and how it fails to load would be really helpful.
  • Is this happening only in a browser, in the desktop app, or in both?

This will help us understand exactly what’s going on and how we can best assist you.

Thanks,
