Figma make keeps showing same error, even after restoring older version. Not sure what goes wrong, refresh doesnt work, shorter or simpeler prompt doesnt solve this either.

A short view of an API error for half a second appears

even after duplicating the file and trying to make a small textual change in the copy i receive an error.

In the meantime, two more things worth trying if you haven't yet:

  • As a first step, try switching the AI model you're using. We've seen this resolve the "something went wrong" error for other users in similar situations.
  • Open a brand new Figma Make file (not a duplicate of the affected one) and test a very simple prompt from scratch. This can help clarify whether the issue is tied to the original file's history or something broader. Feel free to explain the steps you have already done directly in your support case.
