Figma Make credit limit on education plan

Hey ​@Ion — welcome to Figma Forum, and thanks for raising this. I’d like to take a closer look and share more details with our product team, could you reply back with the type of prompts you were adding and the steps leading up to the message?

Our Technical Quality team can also review the file directly. If you’re up for it, you can get that started by filling out this secure form and including:

• the link to the file where this is happening
• ‘can edit’ access granted to support-share@figma.com for the impacted file
• a screen recording showing the issue in action (if possible).

Figma Make is generally available to Education team members, but access requires completing the updated verification process. If your verification hasn’t been renewed yet, that may explain the restriction. You can read more about that here: Figma for Education → Updates to verification process.

Users on the Education plan are subject to a more limited number of Figma Make credit limits, so if you’ve also run into your daily limit after ~5 prompts, this is currently expected. Your daily limit will renew each day until you hit your monthly chat prompt limit. If you're hitting the limit, you'll see a message indicating when you can use the feature again as shown in the screenshot above.

While AI features are free right now, usage limits still apply and credit limits vary by plan. Learn how AI credits work in our Help Center article here. 
 
We’re planning to offer the ability to purchase additional AI credits later this year. I hope this helps clarify!
