Hi, I’m trying to copy my Figma Make file into Figma design but the copy feature is disabled.  I’m on the professional plan.  Please advise.  Thanks

Hey @CherylNatel , Celine from Figma here! Thank you for flagging this, This does look a bit odd.

Could you first double-check that you’re on the correct plan? (As a reminder, Figma Make is only available for Full seats on paid plans. For more information, you can check our Help Center article: Copy a Figma Make preview as design layers.)

If you’re still running into issues after confirming that, feel free to send me a DM so we can gather a bit more information and take a closer look. Thanks!

Hi @Celine_

Thanks for getting back to me.  I am on a paid plan, my colleague who is on the same plan was able to use the copy feature.  I have attached a screenshot of my Figma Make top bar which looked different to his.

Is there a reason for this?

Thanks

Thanks for sharing these details. This does look unusual, since you’re on a paid plan, you should be able to access it.

I’ve sent you a DM so we can take a closer look. Please check your inbox when you have a moment. Thanks!

Hey @Basantraj Mohan, I’m stepping in on behalf of @Celine_ to help here.

As the first step to troubleshooting, could you please confirm the following?

  • Is the file preview fully loaded? The copy button can remain disabled until the Make project preview finishes loading.
  • Is this happening in the browser, the desktop app or both?
  • Are you using any VPNs, firewalls, or proxies? If so, could you try disabling them temporarily to see if that changes the behaviour?
  • Are you able to test on a different network, like a mobile hot spot?

Additionally, within the Make file itself, please run a network check. To do so, in the lower right corner of the file, click the question mark icon and select “Check Network Settings.” This will let you know whether your network is properly configured or if any domains need to be allow listed. You can find more details here: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/19424714305943-Adjust-your-network-settings
