Solved

Figma Make can't find the image I uploaded in the prompt.

When I attach an image to the prompt window and send it with a prompt, it can not locate the image! Can’t do anything swapping or create a new section with image! Help!

Hey everyone. The team let me know a fix has been rolled out to address this issue. Thank you very much for all the reports and for your patience.

Please make sure you Figma tabs in the browser and the Desktop app (if used) are refreshed and updated. If there are any lingering issues, please post here and we’ll take a look. — Jaycee

Hey everyone, as a workaround while we wait for Figma to fix this, you can upload your attachments directly to the src/imports folder. Just go to your Files tab, select src, then look for imports. If you don’t have an imports folder, you can make one by right clicking > Create folder.

I made subfolders in imports to keep my uploads organized. I right click the folder, select “copy path” and then paste that into the prompt. Figma Make can see it that way. If you only have one file you wish to share, just right click it after uploading > copy path > paste into figma make prompt box.

Thank you for bearing with us, everyone!

This is a confirmed bug on our end, not anything wrong with your files or attachments. Our engineering team has identified the issue and is actively working through it. I don't have a timeline to share yet, but I'll post back in this thread as soon as I do.

If you have a Full or Dev seat, here's something worth trying. A community member in this thread got unblocked by adding the image through the file explorer instead. Click Code at the top of your Figma Make file to get there. It works a little differently than attaching to a prompt, but it might still do the trick depending on what you need the image for.

For more on how attachments are supposed to work, here's our guide: Attach designs and images to a prompt.

Thanks again for your patience while we work on this!
