Every time after the library update the local components inside the file get broken, despite there is no any updates for the local files’ components from the Figma Library.

I have to manually go over each and every component and click on it to get it fixed.

Is there any fix to that?
Does anyone trying to fix that issue?
Why is the Figma degrade over time?
Why is the Figma user experience gets worse and worse with every update?
Is Figma dying?
Should I consider an alternative?
Is Adobe just puling Figma into a grave along with CC?

Hi @VitaliiNikiforov, Celyn from Figma Community Support here.

Thanks for taking the time to share this. I understand that after library updates, the local components inside your file appear broken until you manually click through them one by one to get them to render correctly again.

I’d like to gather a bit more detail so we can better understand what’s happening here:

  • Does this happen consistently across all files or only with certain projects/libraries?
  • Are you using the browser or desktop app?
  • Does refreshing the file or re-running the library update temporarily resolve the issue?

In the meanwhile, I’ve gone ahead and created a support ticket for you so the team can take a closer look. Your ticket number is #1904115.

It would be really helpful if you could reply directly to the ticket with:

  • A short screen recording showing the behavior, if possible.
  • A link to the impacted file, and invite support-share@figma.com with “Can View” access (this won’t impact your billing and will allow us to reproduce the issue and investigate further with Engineering).

Appreciate you flagging this, someone from the team will be reaching out shortly on your ticket to work with you further on this 🙏
