Hi I just experienced my figma running slow especially when moving, copy-pasting, and deleting components. I have clear the cache browser, reset, checking internet connections and reset & restarting the desktop app but despite all the efforts it’s still slow and laggy on both chrome browser and desktop app.

I’m running figma in Macbook Pro M4 Pro 13” updated to MacOS Tahoe 26.1.
This is not an issue before this, just happened last week after new update.

Need some support help regarding this issue. Thanks

Thanks for following up! I’m really glad to hear it’s working now!

After checking with our engineers, we found that a recent change around the timeframe you mentioned was causing degraded performance when copying, pasting, and similar actions.
We’ve since released a fix for this, which is why things are working again now.

If this ever happens again, feel free to make a new Forum post or submit a ticket — that would be really helpful!
Thanks,

Hey @Bayu Cristnawan , Celine from Figma here. Thanks for reaching out, and I’m sorry you’re running into this slowdown.

I was able to see your support ticket on our side, thank you for reaching out to the team already! I’ve escalated your case to our Technical Quality team so they can investigate this further, especially given the recent update you mentioned. They’ll follow up with you directly through your ticket as soon as they’ve reviewed the details.

Thanks again for your patience while the team looks into this!

Hi there! I’m working closely with @Celine_  and wanted to share an update.

We’ve released a fix that should help resolve this issue. Could you try giving Figma a full refresh and see if everything is working again?

If the issue continues, please reply to your ticket email(#1631232) so that our team can look into it further.

Sorry for the disruption this caused to your workflow, and thanks so much for flagging it!

I’m experiencing the same issue. Also my teammates. Any solution? How can I check if my version is updated? Thanks, Shiri

Hey @Shiri_Shilo1, thanks for flagging this!

Let’s try to narrow this down. A couple of quick questions first:

  • Are you experiencing the lag in the desktop app, browser, or both?

  • If it’s in the browser, which browser are you using?

  • Have you tried disabling any browser extensions?

  • Does the same behavior occur if you switch to a different network or temporarily disable any VPN or proxy?

To check if your desktop app is up to date:

  • Open the Figma app

  • Click Figma in the top menu

  • Select Check for updates

We recommend keeping the desktop app updated to the latest available version. If you are not on the latest version, a message will display in the app prompting you to update. If your computer is managed by your company, you may need to contact your administrator to update the app.

If you’re already on the latest version, could you try reinstalling the desktop app and see if that helps?

Thank you for your help!
