Figma is running really slow, it's impossible to work

I’ve been using Figma for almost 6 years, the real value of Figma was its performance but after the recent Config and different features I see how it’s running really slow. Presenting Figma designs in the meetings by sharing your screen is almost impossible.

I’ve cleared the cache, restarted the Figma, linked accounts from 0 but the performance is still the same. It happens not only on my paid account but also in the Free ones.

I’m using desktop app only, performance issues are only in the Figma, laptop has no issues with working on other apps.

    Question — Does the slowness happen in a brand-new empty file too, or only in your existing files?

    Requests:

    • When you have a few minutes, could you also record a performance profile while reproducing the lag? Full steps are here — Record a performance profile. The key part is the last step, please make sure to save a copy to your computer so wa can share with support as needed
    • Please grab a short screen recording of the slowness happening (panning, presenting, whatever's worst). We can add that to our ticket as well
