Hi!

I have created a design with a gradient in a button:

The PDF export however shows all buttons with a vage gradient not corresponding to the design I made:

JPG and PNG exports are working fine.

Am I exporting the wrong way or is this a thing Figma could fix?

Thanks!

Hi DanielP, thank you for flagging it. Could you first try clearing the browser or app cache (Help > Troubleshooting > Reset Figma and Restart) to see if that resolves the issue? (You can find more details on how to clear the cache in this article

If the problem persists, I’d like our team to take a closer look, they can try to replicate it.

Please submit a bug report and be sure to:

  • Use your Figma email account
  • Share a URL of the file
  • Give can edit permission with support-share@figma.com (so they can investigate it. Please also note, this will not affect your billing)
  • Share your screenshots.
    Thank you!

Thanks @Celine_ clearing cache and restarting did not solve the issue, so I submitted a bug report.

Hi @DanielP, thanks for the heads-up! I can see on the backend that your case is already with our technical quality team for further investigation. Please continue the conversation with them for further assistance 🙏🏼

Hi again, I can see on the backend that our technical team has already replied and is waiting for your response. Please follow up when you have a moment 🙂

I’m also sharing the details here for visibility, in case others run into the same issue. This is a bug we’re currently tracking, and our engineering team is actively investigating the root cause and working on a fix.

The issue is due to the gradient stop points overlapping in the linear gradient. For example, you have the TX Oranje at a 15% stop point and the FFA175 color starting at the 15% stop point. As a workaround, you can adjust your stop points so that they do not overlap and move them by just one value. This way, you can still achieve the same effect and export as a PDF.

Thank you for your patience while our engineering team is investigating it!
