Figma Education Verification Keeps Failing Despite Submitting Student ID, Certificate of Enrollment, and Tuition Payment Receipt

Dear Figma Support Team,

I am currently a student at Shih Hsin University in Taiwan. I recently applied for Figma Education, but unfortunately, my application was not approved.

I have already submitted several documents to verify my student status, including my student ID, certificate of enrollment, and tuition payment receipt. However, my application still did not pass the verification process.

Since I have already provided these documents as proof of my current student status, I would greatly appreciate it if you could review my application again and clarify why my verification was unsuccessful.

If there are any issues with the documents I submitted or if additional information is required, please let me know what I need to provide to complete the verification process.

I would like to use Figma for my coursework and design projects, so I sincerely hope you can help me resolve this issue and gain access to the educational plan.

Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your response.

Best regards,
A Shih Hsin University Student

Hey @世新葉湘云, thanks for reaching out!

For higher education, SheerID handles Education verification for us. That means we can’t review your documents or application from our side. SheerID is the best team to explain why it didn’t pass. If you’ve also seen a Verification Limit Exceeded message, SheerID is the team that can reset that too.

Here’s what I’d suggest.

  1. Contact the SheerID support form and ask them to review your application. You can also ask which part didn’t pass and for your verification limit to be reset if needed.
  2. Work with SheerID directly rather than resubmitting several times. The Help Center recommends this.
  3. Check that your Figma account uses your school-issued email. Personal emails won’t work, and the email domain needs to match your school’s. You can update your account email before applying again.
  4. Make sure you’re not on a VPN when you apply.
  5. If SheerID asks for documents again, they need to show that you’re enrolled at your school. A syllabus or course schedule isn’t the right fit, because it shows what a course covers but not that you’re a student there. The documents you mentioned, like your student ID and certificate of enrollment, are the right kind of proof.

You’ll find more detail in the Figma for Education article.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any further questions!
