I am having the same issue and I have emailed figma education on Thursday and they still have not responded. I emailed sheer id 5 times and they also have closed the ticket without resetting the verification limit. I sent another email to education@figma.com today and still no response. I was using my school email for class and now I am unable to edit any of my school files. I have been waiting for months for a response and resolution. I have the proper documents ready to upload. I was verified before and now I can not do anything.
