Figma Education Plan Not Activated Even After SheerlD Approval

Hello Figma Support Team,

 

I hope you're doing well. I'm reaching out because my Figma Education Plan still hasn't been activated, even though SheerlD has already confirmed that my verification for the Education offer was successfully approved.

 

At the moment, my Figma account still shows the "Starter" plan, and I continue receiving "Upgrade" prompts. When I try to re-apply, I also get a "Verification Limit Exceeded" message.

 

I am still an active student and need access to the Education Plan for my coursework and design projects. Could you please help activate my Education status or guide me on what to do next?

Hey ​@Mervil — welcome to Figma Forum, and thanks for flagging this. I’m glad to hear your re-verification went through. Let’s sort out the remaining pieces together.

On the “Verification Limit Exceeded” message: Since SheerID manages verification end to end, that combination of messages does seem unusual. The best next step is to reach out to them directly using their secure form: Contact SheerID support team. They’ll be able to confirm the exact status on their side.

On the team access piece: Even after an Education account is approved, your team may still need to be upgraded to the Education plan. You can do that by following the Figma for Education → Application process:

  1. Log in at figma.com to open your file browser.
  2. In the left sidebar, find your team and click the Free badge next to its name.
  3. In the upgrade window, choose the Education plan and follow the prompts.

When you have a moment, give that a try and see if it unlocks access. If anything feels stuck — an error message, or a point where the flow breaks — just let me know and I’ll help you troubleshoot.

I can also see you have a ticket open with the Education Team. I’ve added this context (case ID number: 1605899), and they’ll follow up directly as soon as they have more information.
