Figma Education (higher ed): 18+ screen shown, but student is 17 – exception?

Hi,

My daughter is 17 and just started a Communication and Multimedia Design program at a Dutch university of applied sciences. When she signs up for the Figma Education plan (higher education) with her school email, she gets a screen saying she must be 18.

Figma's help center only says applicants must be old enough to consent themselves, and the Terms of Service mention 18+ only for Figma AI. Has anyone found an exception or workaround for under-18 higher education students, for example via the institution?
