Figma Desktop crashes ~4s after launch on Windows 11 26H2 (build 26300) - exception 0x80000003 in V8 compiler thread
Figma Desktop crashes consistently about 4 seconds after launch on my Windows machine, across every recent version (125.10.8, 126.7.10, 126.10.11). Figma Web works fine.
Environment
- Windows 11 26H2, build 26300.9711
- Intel Core i7-12700 (20 logical processors), MSI MS-7E44
- NVIDIA RTX 3060 (driver 32.0.16.1088) + Intel UHD 770 (driver 32.0.101.7088)
- Only Microsoft Defender; VBS/HVCI off; no third-party security software
- Locale es-CO
Crash signature (Windows Error Reporting + full minidumps)
- Exception code 0x80000003 (breakpoint/int3) inside Figma.exe
- Symbol: Figma!GetHandleVerifier+0x5e519
- Faulting thread: V8 concurrent optimizing compiler worker
v8::internal::OptimizingCompileTaskExecutor -> v8::HeapStatistics::heap_size_limit -> v8::DictionaryTemplate::New -> v8::Isolate::InstallConditionalFeatures
- Deterministic: ~4 seconds after launch, every time
Already ruled out
- Fresh install and fresh profile (no cache folders exist)
- Window manager hooks (DisplayFusion fully exited), OBS closed
- No GPU driver TDR events; drivers current
- No IFEO overrides; Windows Exploit Protection (CET shadow stack) disabled for Figma.exe -> same crash
- Windows Memory Diagnostic passed (no RAM errors)
- No Windows cumulative updates on 24-25 Oct (only Defender definitions)
Available: two full minidumps (WER LocalDumps, ~350 MB each) — happy to upload wherever you prefer.
Any help diagnosing this would be appreciated. Thanks!
