Figma crashes unexpectedly

Hello Figma Support Team,

 

I am experiencing an issue where Figma crashes unexpectedly while I am working. At random moments, the app shows an error message saying “Something went wrong” with the reason listed as “crashed” (see screenshot).

 

This happens during normal usage, without any specific action triggering it. Reloading sometimes helps, but the problem keeps occurring, which interrupts my work.

 

Could you please help me understand why this is happening and how I can fix it?

If needed, I can provide additional details such as my operating system, browser/app version, or logs.

    Hey ​@Marziya, thanks for flagging this! 

    I’d like to gather a bit more information so we can narrow down what’s causing this:

    • Does this happen in all files, or only specific ones?

    • Are you seeing the same behaviour when using Figma in the browser, or only in the desktop app?

    • Are you on Windows or macOS?

    • Have you noticed any patterns at all (for example, file size, certain actions, or after working for a while)?

    • Have you tried reinstalling the desktop app? 

    I can not see the attached screenshot, but if you’re able to share a screen recording or any additional details like app/browser version, that would also be really helpful. Thank you!
