Hi

Context

I am currently trying to understand the detachment rate of our buttons and I’m using Figma analytics for that purpose.

Problem

At the moment when selecting the button component that was detached 4 times in the last 60 days, to see which variants where more detached, I only see that 1 variant was detached once. So there is a disconnect between the 4 button detaches and the 1 variant detached. — Image attached

Help
Can anyone help me understand what might be the issue causing this disconnect in the detachment number?

Thank you

Hi @André Miguel

Thanks for reaching out about this. You're right that this could be related to connection problems caused by detaching, as our documentation states:

Figma logs a detach any time someone uses the Detach instance setting to break the connection between the instance and the main component. For styles and variables, detaches are logged whenever someone uses the corresponding Detach button.

You can find more details here: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038665754-Detach-an-instance-from-the-component

Since this appears to be a complex issue that requires account-specific investigation, could you please submit a ticket to our support team? They'll be able to look into the specifics of your file and account: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Thanks for your patience!

Hi @y_toku
Thank you for replying.

When I mentioned “disconnect in the detachment number?” I wasn’t referring to an actual “disconnect” but more in the sense of “Why if there are 4 detaches registered at the component level but when I click to see which variants were more detach, it’s only registered 1 detach?

I will create a ticket. Thank you

Hi Andre,
Celine here, I am working closely with Toku!
I saw that the support team got back to you — just sharing here as it might help others in the community as well:

After checking with the product team, the 30-day default date range on the detailed page is due to a current system limitation. We understand this may be inconvenient, and the team has flagged it for future improvement.

While we can’t promise any immediate changes, your feedback is truly appreciated and will be considered for future updates.
Thanks for your understanding 🙏🏼
