Figma AI Agent completely unusable – persistent “Something went wrong” errors

Dear Figma Support Team,

I am experiencing a persistent issue with the Figma AI Agent that has continued for the past 3 days.

Every time I attempt to use the Figma AI Agent, the request immediately fails with:

“Something went wrong. Try again.”

The Agent also provides an srid_... request ID.

I have received multiple request IDs, including:

  • srid_CC2ZW0XB19EYTY8YVGQQMH7V0A
  • srid_300WXTXSYR4Q8TSV4WBFERYMV

I have extensively tested the issue and it is not limited to one browser, account, or file.

I have tried:

  • Safari Private Browsing
  • Normal Safari
  • Google Chrome
  • Brave
  • Figma Desktop for macOS
  • Multiple separate Figma accounts
  • Refreshing/restarting Figma
  • Waiting several days and trying again
  • Very simple Agent prompts
  • A completely new/blank Figma design file
  • My existing .fig project file

The same error continues to occur across these different environments and accounts.

Because the Agent also fails when tested on a blank Figma file with a simple request, I don’t believe this is related to my particular design file, prompt, or project.

Could you please investigate this as a potential Figma Agent/backend issue and check the request IDs above?

I would also appreciate it if you could verify whether there is any issue with my Agent access, account eligibility, workspace configuration, or the backend service handling these Agent requests.

I can provide screenshots, debug information, desktop debug logs, browser console logs, network logs, or any other diagnostic information required.

I would appreciate your help in resolving this, as I am currently unable to use the Figma Agent at all.

Thank you.

Hey @Shreyas Reddy, thanks for reaching out and for thoroughly troubleshooting!

Since the error's following you across every combination you've tried, here's where I'd go next:

  1. If you can, try a different network (like a mobile hotspot instead of office Wi-Fi or a VPN). It's not always obvious that a network is interfering with AI requests, and since it's the one variable that hasn't been ruled out yet, it's worth a quick check.
  2. Grab the full debug details, not just the ID. Click the small circled "i" icon below the response that failed and choose to copy the debug details. That payload has a lot more for our team to work with than the request ID alone.

Since that debug payload includes some account-specific identifiers, please send it through Support Hub. You can also find general troubleshooting tips for the Figma agent beta in this Help Center article.

Once we have that, we'll be able to dig into this properly.

Thank you,

Gayani
