Figma Agent – Unable to Produce a Valid Editable Result

Hi Figma Team,

I’d like to report an issue I’ve been experiencing with Figma Agent.

Regardless of the length of the instruction or whether a Skill is used, the Agent consistently stops after processing the request and returns a similar message:

“The file couldn’t produce a valid editable result, so I stopped rather than leaving partial or off-system content.”

This happens consistently across different prompts and does not seem to be related to the complexity or length of the instruction.

Could you please help investigate whether this is a known issue with Figma Agent or if there is anything I should check in my file or setup?

Hey there, Celine from the Community Support team at Figma here.Thanks for the detailed report , I can see you've already ruled out prompt length and Skills as the trigger, which is helpful context.

We're not currently aware of a broader issue matching this exact message, so this may be tied to something specific in your file or setup. One thing worth trying: duplicate the file and prompt again in the copy, to see if the behavior changes.

If the issue is still happening, I’d recommend submitting a bug report through the Support Hub → Type "Report a bug, contact an agent" → Click "Start a chat" → select "Enter" and follow the prompts.

Please include the URL of the affected file and grant Can View access to support-share@figma.com (that'll help our team reproduce the issue directly, and a screen recording of the behavior, would also help a lot. Thanks again for flagging it!
