Hey there. I was testing Figma Agent and it was working properly except one thing. The only way it could change the labels and texts in my components was to override fonts with some public fonts that are already available in Figma.

We’ve bought a licensed Font for our product. and currently, Figma only supports shared-font for Organization-level or higher plans. We are currently using Pro Plan.

For now, Figma Agent can help for ideation, but when it comes to designing, I really don’t want to select all the texts made by Agent and style them one by one again. Figma (& Even Google) do not support many RTL Fonts by default. & Most of the popular Persian fonts are licensed & can’t be accessed publicly (“Yekan-Bakh”, or “Iran-Sans”; They are like “Roboto” & “Inter” but for Persian).

I think Figma Agent should notice the local font somehow, because I really cannot afford Organization plan just to give Agent access to fonts. There should be a better way.

Hey hey @Armin_Rouhanian 👋 Thank you very much for the thoughtful feedback.

One quick thing — you may not need the Organization plan. You can upload your font to your own account, and once it's there, Agent can use it. This works on Pro. The reason Agent can't see it now is it runs on Figma's servers, not your computer. Steps here:

To upload a font to your account:

  • Open Figma in the file browser.
  • Click your avatar in the top-left corner to open the account menu.
  • Select Settings to open the settings modal.
  • Select Account > Your uploaded fonts.
  • Click Upload fonts to search and select one from your files.
  • Confirm that you have the rights to upload this font and that you authorize its storage and use on the Figma platform.
  • Uploaded fonts will be listed under the Uploaded by you section of the font picker.

One question: that upload above step asks you to confirm you have the rights to store the font on Figma's servers. Does your font's license allow that? If you've already verified it doesn’t allow for storage, I'll pass it on to the team as additional feedback. Thanks! — Jaycee
