Hey Fig Make Team,

Last week, I was able to upload PNG files to use with Fig Make and it is not telling me that I can’t.
This seems like a BUG to me.

Here is what Fig Make suggest I send you in the report:

Bug Report Summary:

  • Issue: Images uploaded via the "+" → "Add images and files" button are not generating accessible figma:asset/... identifiers for the AI assistant
  • Previous behavior: This upload method worked correctly in the past (as recently as a week ago)
  • Current behavior: Uploaded images show as /* image omitted from history */ and the AI cannot access the asset identifiers
  • Impact: Users cannot update their apps with newly uploaded images through chat

Hi @CGavin

I understand you’re seeing the /* image omitted from history */ message when attaching PNG images to a prompt in Figma Make.

I’ve checked our backend and see that you’re on a Professional plan with a full seat. I tried to reproduce this by following the same steps in a Make file on my own Professional team, but attaching images worked as expected on my end.

Since the issue isn't occurring on my side, it seems it might be file-specific. I’ll go ahead and  open a support ticket(#1773613) for you so our support team can look into this further.

Once you receive the ticket confirmation email, please reply with the following so our specialists can look into this more effectively:

  • The URL of the impacted file.
    • Please grant view access to support-share@figma.com (this will not affect your billing).

Thank you,
