Failed to load fields Error in Figma make

Koustubh

While publishing Design kit in Figma Make, after click publish, i receive "Failed to load fields" and retry action, however nothing happens after clock on retry. Also, in the modal publish action is in the disable state.

Hey everyone, I’ve got great news! 

The engineers have released and verified a fix for this issue. Please restart/refresh Figma to ensure you're using the latest release, then publish your Make kit again. If you're still encountering any issues, let me know and I can pass this internally to the teams.

Hey everyone, thank you for flagging this and for confirming you’re seeing the same behaviour.

The team has been able to reproduce the issue on their end, so it’s now been escalated to engineering. They’re actively investigating and working on a fix. I don’t have an exact timeline just yet, but it’s being prioritised. Really appreciate your patience while we get this resolved. I’ll update here as soon as I hear back from the team, thank you for your patience in the meantime!

I checked with our team and this is a known issue they are working to fix as soon as possible, so if you try again later today it may already be fixed and working. In the meantime, let me know if you have any questions!

@Gayani_S the issue still exists on my end, even after restarting figma and refreshing the tabs.

Hey everyone, apologies for the delay! 

The team confirmed, that this error usually indicates that you don’t currently have permission to publish to your organization’s npm registry.

It would be worth checking with your org admins to make sure the registry is set up correctly and that your account has the right access to publish.
