Hey sarmkp, sorry to hear you're running into trouble importing your Figma file!
Since you've already cleared the temp/Figma folder, here are a few more things you can try:
-
Make sure you're on a stable internet connection and not behind a VPN, firewall, or proxy that might block Figma.
If you're on a managed network, it’s worth checking with your IT team or switching to another network. Ask them to unblock Port 443. This is the standard port for websites that are run over SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). You can find more details in our guide: Connection or server error 403.
-
Try restarting Figma and importing the file again.
-
It might help to try uploading the file using your mobile hotspot instead of your current work network.
-
If you're using the desktop app, try the browser version (or vice versa) to see if that helps.
If the issue still persists, I’d recommend submitting a bug report with a quick summary of the steps you’ve tried and the file you’re importing. Our support team can dig in further. Thanks! 🙏
I'm having trouble importing a .fig file... I've already cleared the temp/figma folder as recommended, but this error appeared:
"Failed to download the file importer. Please make sure you're connected to the internet and try again."I've read a few other discussions, and while I don't see the option to choose the file format on my end, I'm optimistic that comcast support or Figma updates will make it straightforward.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?
You can try updating Figma, clearing the full app cache, or reinstalling the app. If that doesn’t work, try importing the .fig file using Figma’s web version, which often bypasses desktop-specific import issues. Make sure your internet connection isn’t being blocked by a firewall or VPN.
