export library to Figma make: "We ran into an error while extracting your library"

Just ran into the same problem, is this still not fixed, over 6 months later?

when i try to export library to figma make, there is error tip: “We ran into an error while extracting your library” and I try to export only one very simple component it doesn't work.

Hey everyone! Thanks for your posts and for your patience. I can definitely understand how frustrating that message could be without additional details.

Our team released some fixes recently which would resolve a lot of these errors, so you simply need to try again. ​@peng_an163, I recommend you also try again, though given the date you posted it’s possible something else is going on with your export. If you continue to get that error, let me know and we’ll troubleshoot from there.

Hey ​@adamsmasher , I noticed that you updated the post 3 days ago, so I immediately checked my Figma updates. I'm sure I have updated to the latest version, but I continue to get that error. I clicked the ‘Try Again‘ button over and over again, but it didn’t work. 😔

Thanks for your posts, ​@Howie_T and ​@Susmitaaa! I’m sorry to hear that the fixes didn’t resolve the issue for you - I’m sure it’s frustrating for you.

I’m checking with our team to see if this is something more specific to both of you. In the meantime, you might want to try using a Make kit instead. I covered this more in detail in this response I wrote on another thread, but the short version is:

1. In Figma Make, click on the Gear icon on the top right.
2. Click Create a kit. 
3. On the popup, choose Library styles.
4. Search for your library, select it, then click Generate.

Figma Make will then be able to use the kit along with your design styles and variables. Let me know if this doesn’t work for you and we’ll go from there.
